11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

They helped my husband make my arrangements as well as his--well after he made his.

Plenty of info, easy to access.

Beds were a little small for big people. Staff at all hotels were very accommodating. A staff person at Hotel Melba helped me with the language in ordering a pizza.

The tour was awesome. I would recommend it--even to those who aren't really interested but are accompanying a friend or spouse. I learned a lot, saw a lot of the countryside, and didn't have to cook or make beds for over two weeks.

The meals weren't that good. However, I understand that we are supposed to experience the food of the region. In the areas where we had choices, it was better. Perhaps, always having an "Americanized option" available would help those who have an aversion to new foods. It was done at Berchtesgaden, where they offered a cheeseburger and fries.

The bus and the driver were SUPERB!!!!! Actos (spelling is wrong I know)was one of the best drivers I've ever seen. He was able to maneuver that bus wherever and whenever necessary. He also handled the luggage efficiently and quickly.

I don't remember.

The walking tour was a little long. Perhaps an option to go or not go based on a written description of what we would see.

Eric was knowledgeable. It was a bit of a challenge to hear everything at Dachau because we couldn't have the red speakers. He definitely had his opinions of the war and verbally credited the Russians with most of the work. For a tour guide addressing mostly a group of Americans who were taking a world war 2 tour, he leaned a little hard on his theme.

gorgeous, peaceful

I honestly don't remember this one; but, all tours were good.

She was okay.

Jean Luc was knowledgeable and wanted to please.

Nicole was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, thorough, fast walker, and opinionated.

I would have liked to know that the walking path to Eagles nest was available and only took 20 minutes instead of taking the elevator.

Sue was the absolute BEST!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Natasha was the best.

Completely

The small beds were almost enough to kill a big guy.

I know there's a lot to see, but a little down time would of been nice. The average age of our group had to be 60ish.

I'm a picky eater and it almost killed me.

Can say or spell his name (Okmish?) but he was a very good driver.

Outstanding

Was a very sad tour. But the historical significance warranted.

Way to long, and the guide appeared anti veteran at times.

Good tour, thought he dissed the veterans in the group.

One of the highlights of the trip.

Outstanding

Outstanding, really wanted to show us what we wanted to see.

Outstanding, still dosen't care much for the Germans.

Another of the many highlights of the trip.

Not much of a tour. I don't our tour guide wanted to stop here.

Sue is the very best. We won the lottery with her.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

The tour was outstanding because of its organization, number of destinations and knowledge shared. We could never do more than we did in 11 days!

My only real complaint was the very rare bacon and several meat entrees in France and Belgium. It seems like with an American group they could prepare some well done food or at least ask as they do in most restaurants.

Charlie was an amazing driver with all the challenges of our itinerary.

Wonderful ceremony for the veterans in our tour group!

Outstanding attention to detail - very personable - made the tour an event of a lifetime because of his organization and interest in our destinations! Well done Milan!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Cassie was great and very informative when I booked the tour.

Excellent info provided.

No safe in room Hotel Mercure and no air conditioning Hotel Melba. Otherwise hotels were great.

So much information was given at each stop. I find Procom very organized and prepared.

Food was great but for us Americans we prefer our bacon cooked, steaks done and hamburgers well done.

Charlie was an excellent driver. Always felt safe.

Did not go on this walk

Excellent!!!!!!!!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

helped find travel agent familiar with Procom to book flights

Great info and kept me on track with what I needed to do

no safe in Caen, did not like location in Munich

All as promised - great guides

We loved the tour, but we would only recommend it to those who are really WWII geeks. It would not work for those who are not deeply interested in military history.

large quantities, nothing memorable. Drop La Carlotta: worst steak in Europe

Charlie had great driving skills, always smiling. I wish Procom delivered and picked up baggage at rooms, as do other tour groups.

loved the wreath ceremony

a difficult place - a gift shop and restaurant in a concentration camp? Really?

skipped: too drained after Dachau, needed some personal time

great local guide, but too many stops at small memorials

Finally, some free time

too tired at end of long day, could have skipped this

Ten stars: great personality, calm, great people skills

just a stop on the road

too much gift shop

too much time here

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I've never thought I would enjoy a group tour as I was afraid it would be all gift shops and window time. This 11 day tour was filled with facts, sites, on the ground experiences presented by experts of the period. Although the days might have been long, we got a good sense of what both sides of the D-Day offense felt during those early hours. I came away with a better understanding of what happened and how America helped turn the tide of WWII. To all who have an interest in this bit of history, I highly recommend Procom tours. They know how to do them right.

Our driver was so amazing. He put the bus through spaces that I would have been cautious with my own personal vehicle. At least three times he got a bus full of applause after making an unbelievable maneuver

There are not enough words to describe how this young Lady managed this tour. I watched as she took a very personal interest in each of my tour partners and no question was to small that she didn't try to address. Two of our group had food allergies and she fretted about being certain their needs were met. She became a Mother Hen to all of us and absolutely made the trip better by her presence. Thank you Sue

Very satisfied.

My wife and I enjoyed the trip and would encourage others to take this trip.

Meals were very good other than the pepper steak that was rare and the hamburger that was rare also the next day. Understand that it was probably more culture difference in how we like to eat our meat.

Did a great job of keeping us safe and navigating through some tight areas.

He did a great job. Highly recommend him.

Had a great story to tell having lived through it.

Very knowledgeable and really brought the history to life.

He did a great job. Was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the tour.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Very few choice of meals. Very long days. Make the tour a little longer and not try to put so much info into each day. 10-12 hours is too much for the older people taking this tour which is probably a good percentage of your market.

Lack of English speaking staff at Mercure and Melba. Staff at Melba was actually very hostel at times like they didn’t want us there. Hotel staff in Munich spoke English but still not very friendly. Lack of help with luggage was not explained, as was lack of English TV and lack of AC at Hotel Melba as well as no laundry or iron or ironing boards in any hotel. Also please infom about which converters and adapters need to be brought as all the ones I brought did not fit the rounded plugs.

The information provided was good but the logistics need work

If food and hotels are not important then Procom is good but I was looking for a more 4-5 star experience.

No meal choices, redundant menu. Too many cafeteria like meals. Long lines. Very disappointed in this part of trip. Rude serving staff.

The driver, Charlie was great. The bus it’s self was ok, but you really one that has a real bathroom on board. The travel time on this tour was way too much. Of the 11 days of the tour 3 were spent on just traveling.

His knowledge is fantastic but the language barrier is somewhat a problem and he is a bit to dramatic leading to to long of stories where we are just standing around. Would be nice if we could keep moving while he is talking.

Couldn’t understand 80% of what he said but he was informative. Again they take too long and give too much detail.

Patton’s grave was most important to me.

Too much walking for one day

Again, too much detail, too much time, too much walking. Procom really needs to make the tour longer for this many stops and info.

Cut down on time looking at Dragons teeth.

Rudy, the tour guide was wonderful but the time spent was too long at each location. We had no free time during the days.

Important stop

Milan was wonderful. I feel sorry that he has no control over what hotels or meal service or schedule.

Although they were important for D-Day, nothing to do with Band of Brothers..

Would have liked to have had time to have drink at Eagles Nest restaurant instead of the one they took us to that had no help serving us. Bunker tour could have been cut in half. Didn’t expect so many other tourists. Was too crowded for comfort.

Cut down amount of time spend there..

Not needed, redundant

You could eliminate this stop

Very professional consultants.

All the information we needed for smooth travel was included.

The Hotel Melba was the best.

Service is very professional.

The tour was all we expected and more. I would recommend it to anyone interested in World War II.

All the meals were great except for The Carlotta in Caen. Their steak was not cooked at all. The amount of food was more than we needed.

The motor coach is comfortable and our driver, Charlie, was professional and a very good driver.

Rudy is a great guide and very knowledgeable.

Henri's personal stories added to the tour.

Steve is great and his knowledge of the area and sites was tremendous.

Milan is wonderful. The perfect tour manager - helpful and caring.

All hotels were fine. The Hotel Melba was my favorite.

Service from Procom is very professional and helpful.

The tour was all we expected and more. I learned a lot about the places we visited and World War II. I would recommend it to anyone interested in history, especially World War II.

All the meals were great except for the steak in The Carlotta in Caen. Their steak was not cooked at all. The amount of food was more than we needed but tasty.

The coach was great. A little hard to see videos since there were only two monitors. Charlie, the driver, was excellent. He is a very talented driver.

Rudy was exceptional.

Very interesting to hear his personal stories.

His knowledge of the sites was superb.

Milan is wonderful. He is helpful and caring. He made the trip very successful and interesting for us. He does a great job taking care of all the tour guests needs.

Excellent, with the exception of a restaurant in Caen, France that served us raw meat and the staff became indignant when my wife sent it back to be cooked better.

Difficult museum to follow

Everything was perfect

Perfect

I felt all hotels were good. Most complaints were from people who didnt realize were in “europe”

Awesome

I couldnt have asked for a better bonding experience with my father. I am a young man and will make it my mission to get the word out to the younger generation to make this trip.

The meals were great. I can tell many will complain in the catagory. Mostly from the other tour. Americans somehow think burgers and fries are served every meal in europe. Food was great

Akosh was an unbelievable driver. Can thread a needle with that bus

Sue did an absolutely great job. Our group had a blast. I could tell the other group didnt care for our youth and enthusiasm. Our group had most of the vets and we bonded closely. Answered all questions

Loved knowing about the tour manager and other guests - very comprehensive.

Expected better based on price of trip

service was great, no complaints. Would have liked more personal (free) time.

Excellent, but you need to be very interested in WWII battlefield history. Not everyone would have wanted a tour with this amount of detail.

More than ample, but not memorable. Drop Carlotta: awful!

Everyone was impressed with Charlie's skills. Too much of tour spent on bus.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Fine, but a few things were missing: The amount of time we'd be spending on the bus, that where one initially sat, they were expected to stay for the entirety of the trip...and that I'd need a bladder the size of Lake Superior.

See prior answer

Minor nit-pics with the Mercure. The halls narrow and dark, as was our room but I realize not everyone in a group this size can get the room with the view. Also the key card would work once, and once ONLY. Every time I went to the desk (which was often) to deal with it I was only met with a look of languid French boredom and was handed the reset key. No one addressed the issue. Otherwise, a fine hotel.

Speaking as a person who was dragged along by her military history buff, I expected a mediocre time at best. While I did want to go to Normandy and pay my respects I thought after that, I’d say, “See ya in Munich” and be on my way. But no. I ended up having a great time, not only with the people, etc. but by learning and truly appreciating/understanding the sacrifices and hardships of everyone involved in the war. I’m grateful for the experience. I would recommend this, certainly, to history enthusiasts but also to anyone with an open mind to new perspectives.

Just OK but I didn't come for the food. I realize with a large group you can't just order off the menu but would have appreciated a choice or two. Main gripe is that we'd cram too many people into one small room, thus obliterating whatever atmosphere the restaurant might have had.

I'm the hair-brain who booked a bus tour with a back issue that limits sitting. That said, the issue was largely resolved by having me sit in the very front. Anyway, spent many an hour behind Charlie and realized just what good-driving is. You'd think it would simply be 'not having an accident'. Not so. In the entire zillion hours I don't think he made one erratic move. It was like he gauged the whole roadway at once. Takes a lot of concentration for long periods of time. I was amazed.

Knowledgable, engaging if not a little long-winded. However, the military history buff that is my husband, hung on every word. I'm sure I'm the outlier in my opinion.

Good historian who lived through it.

Could have used a little more time there. Also found the concept of lunching at the concentration camp a little "iffy". Restaurant itself was fine.

Probably my favorite because of his broad and relatively neutral perspective.

Henry was excellent but maybe a few too many miles per point of interest.

Part shepherd dog, part Swiss watch. Add infinite diligence and quirky sense of humor and you have Milan. All I’d have to do is look perplexed (not an infrequent occurrence) and I’d find him in front of me asking, “What can I help you with?” Still don’t know how he did it, but if that bus was scheduled to arrive at X at, say, 17:30, it did. Invariably. And that was a positive on a tour of this size and duration. He was *constantly* scanning, strategizing, anticipating a consequence…as opposed to letting things happen. I would never want to play a game of chess against him. :-)

Fascinating!

Very satisfied.

The portal was great. Extremely helpful!

I would like to have had a little more about the regions we passed on the bus such as the crops we were seeing.

Air conditioning is something we are used to. Melba did not have AC.

Withe the exception of a few meals, all was great!

It was a history tour and attention was placed in the right areas. Really loved everything about the tour itself. Yes, I would recommend it to anyone interested in WW2 history.

Breakfast was good. Lunches were ok. Dinners were ok most of the time, but the steak and hamburger that were raw were barely edible.

Excellent bus and driver.

Interesting and pleasant. Very good!

Outstanding! First-hand experience cannot be beat. Easy to understand.

Memorable and interesting.

Room wifi in Bayeux was non existent, had to access it by going to the lobby.

The tour provided a thorough education of this time in WW2 history and totally fulfilled the passion my son and i have for this era !

Fantastic and my son’s big appetite would echo those sentiments as well.

Bus was comfortable, and Kosh our driver was fantastic in getting us to all our stops safely and a true pro in negotiating the many tight turns and parking situations along the way.

Outstanding and thorough.

Outstanding !!

Sue was terrific, a true professional, we were fortunate to have her !

The Procom Eastern Front Tour was excellent, certainly a lot of history an d very friendly people along the way. I would recommend if you are a history buff or want to learn more about or experience the real Russia

very good food, could do with a little less though.

Victor was very friendly, knowledgeable, and also willing to also learn about the west.

11-day Eastern Front review

Very nice tour, very informative. Perhaps ending the trip in Moscow would have been better, since we didn't want to carry the souvenirs on the whole trip, we missed the best spot to buy them. Perhaps fly into Volgograd, then to St. Petersburg, then Moscow. Additionally, all flights out of Russia go through Moscow. Finally, it would have been nice to know that Russia does not know about TSA compliant locks, as our luggage was damaged when they cut off locks that they should have had inspection keys to.

Would have liked to have more time in the museum (perhaps an inside tour also)

We could have spent less time here

We traveled with you on the THird Reich TOur two years ago.

The tour was very thorough and highly informational. My husband absolutely enjoyed every minute of the trip. I was not so thrilled, but glad that my husband enjoyed it. The accomodations in St. Petersburg and Moscow were stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed them.

Very thorough.

The tour went very well

I enjoyed the tour very much. The sights we saw were very interesting, the guides were great, and I learned a lot.

All meals were very good. I would have preferred to eat dinner other than the hotel every night in St. Petersburg and Volgograd, however. Food was good, but would have enjoyed trying some local restaurants.

No problems

Excellent

I couldn't understand the tour guide, but the boat trip was very nice and I enjoyed the sights. I wish I had known what I was looking at, however.

Very good. Again, I had some difficulty understanding the tour guide. Her voice was a little quiet.

Excellent

Excellent - wish we had more time here.

Excellent, but I would have traded time riding the metro for more time at the Great Patriotic War museum.

Very impressive

Excellent

Very good, but we didn't spend much time at any of these

Tank museum was excellent. River cruise on Volga was very nice, but I didn't know what most of the sights were.

Victor was very pleasant and helpful at all times. Very professional.

Oleg was great. I would love to go on a tour with Oleg again.

All hotels were very nice and comfortable. The one in Moscow was particularly impressive.

I am 6'4" and ended up in a middle seat so wasn't very comfortable

11-day Eastern Front review

It is minor, but it would have been great to get positive affirmation that the information I was feeding into "my trip" was being looked at by a human and was "correct" ... for example, my visa details.

The tour is still maturing so I think it was excellent for it only have been conducted twice. I would recommend because it efficiently took us to all the major sites, and it provided *all* meals, since I was not interested in figuring out my own meals in Russia.

I liked the mix of both buffet and alacarte. However, some restaurants took too much time to serve us (they seemed unprepared).

I thought Kremlin tour was spot on (right amount of time and supervision).

Would of like some more (and unsupervised) time at Kubinka to explore at my own pace.

I liked the Park Inn and thought it was a good location (I mention this because some of my fellow tourists did not).

11-day Eastern Front review

very professional and thorough in every way helping to set up the tour

Felt prepared and ready to experience the tour

Everything was outstanding - from the office staff to the guides to the tour itinerary itself - I couldn't have asked for a better experience form start to finish!

For years, I have read about and studied Russia and its role in World War 2. To have the opportunity to travel there and experience so much was just amazing! Russia itself and the tour and guides exceeded my wildest expectations. I would recommend this tour to anyone - its combination of history, culture and geography added to my understanding of the country and its people in countless ways! Thank you Beyond Band of Brothers for providing this tour and allowing us to experience Russia and its rich history!

Meals were always of good quality and provided nice taste of Russian foods and drink. The St Petersburg hotel got a bit tiresome as we spent a lot of time there - maybe nice to find a local restaurant for one or two meals to change it up a bit. Was a lot of same table, staff and choices there. In Moscow and Volgograd, it was better as to variety and menu. Understanding we are in Russia with a very different culture, I thought meals were far above my expectations and appreciated the ala carte choices later in the trip. The restaurant in the Volgograd hotel was very good!

Drivers were very good and always felt comfortable and safe

Bit overwhelming but a nice collection of guns and artillery pieces from various wars

Enjoyable and unique way to see St. Petersburg - very nice!

Nice tour - helpful to understand beginning of the revolution

Wonderfully informative and our local guide was fantastic in explaining the area and its history

Awesome museum - would have liked a couple more hours -especially to experience the inside exhibits. Less time on weapons-more of inside maybe (?)

Enjoyed the whole area and the free time to explore and shop

Great to see the river - the heights and especially Paulus' bunker -that was a great tour and definite highlight!

Glad we got to spend time here and see its location

Powerful to experience the eternal flame, changing of the guards and see the graves of Chuikov and Zaitsev on the hill of such ferocious fighting - the statue was amazing and glad we climbed the hill

Terrific tour and guide at the museum - enjoyed it and seeing the mill and site of Pavlov's house

good to see the area - obviously hard to picture the setting with modern city in place but glad we went to the area and size of it

Enjoyed all the river cruises - nice way to see the cities and off the bus

Victor was absolutely awesome! He was very informative and handled the group with extreme professionalism and humor. He handled a couple of "characters" in the group with grace and dignity at times when he must have been quite frustrated. He was extremely open to questions and gave wonderful information and direction throughout. I don't know how you could have picked a better person to guide this tour. Both Victor and Oleg were exceptional in every way - can't say enough good about the job they did!!

Oleg was fantastic! He was incredibly informative and good humored as well! Did an outstanding job leading and explaining at each site as well as answering questions. Very open to talking about Russia in general and giving his opinions. Couldn't have asked for a better guide!

Great way to cover a large distance quickly. Nice to not have to bus or take two flights on the tour itself

Clean and comfortable - nice to be able to spread out with a smaller group. thanks for keeping a large coach with a small group - ver comfortable

Very nice hotel - happy it was in walking distance to many sites

Comfortable and functional hotel-nice to be near many historical sites

went fine and best way to get to Stalingrad from Moscow. We covered a lot of territory on the tour - nice to have plane, train and bus in the cities

Very friendly and helpful

The tour website was very helpful. I really liked the "todo" section.

I think people would like to see a picture of the bus prior to the tour. It was a very nice bus.

Everything was great - the only thing I and other people did not like is that they (Omaha and Bastogne) didn't cook the bacon and eggs very well.

11-day Normandy to the Bulge review

Had little contact but what we had went very well.

Very good, but almost missed our Tour Manager's email -- got lost in the junk mail. Maybe a "first contact" by both an email and snail mail would be better.

Did not fully understand the meal policy == was pleasantly surprised at the complete 3-meal-per-day coverage

Food was good at all the hotels, but Mercure was particularly good. Lack of AC at the Melba was not so nice, but we survived. We did laundry at the Mercure but they did not seem able to handle it very well. Maybe access/recommendation for a local laundry would have been better?

Way beyond what I dreamed of.

Great tour, fact filled, made you want to come back for even more. Have recommended it to friends, and will do more!

All were "very good" to "excellent". A couple that stand out were the Trilogies at the Mercure, the Bistro Léo, and Ambrosia in Luxembourg

Driving was great -- never a worry. Seats were roomy. Only downside was the spotty WiFi service.

a great break -- thankfully, our guide brought us up the "back way" because trying to keep together going up the main street would have been impossible. Would have liked to have been able to eat in one of the restaurants there, however.

Very impressive city -- so clean! And the luncheon was the best of the trip!

to have someone who was there, even as a child, made it seem even more real.

The Museum was very well done -- first chance to see a B-26 up close, plus the armor and guns on the grounds.

Very impressive. Well balanced presentation -- walking the actual ground; video; the bridge itself and the Horsa Glider; lots of smaller artifacts.

Touring the north region made me realize both the importance of small unit action (the platoon holding off German paratroopers) and the topography challenge that Peiper faced. You can't get that from a book.

Almost too much information to absorb. Could have spent a whole day (with a lunch break, please).

Again, very solemn. The laying of a wreath was much appreciated.

The view from the Polish Museum gave you a chance to understand the whole battle.

The best guide I have ever had. His knowledge of war, at the strategic, tactical and personal level, was amazing. In particular, his ability to humanize the participants with personal details made the battlefield come alive.

Very solemn. Christophe, our guide, made the breakout from Omaha Beach seem real and his knowledge of the graves personalized the men and women buried there.

Some time to chill on our own helped. Missed the 101st Museum -- to tired, but won't miss it next time.

She knew the back-way up - that was very helpful. Her knowledge of rooms seemed very complete.

Unfortunately, much of the beach objects are gone. The Cinema was good but only if you had an understanding of all the overall events. A newbie would get lost.

Really enjoyed visiting -- the Canadian guide was very informative. Did not know the Wehrmacht had a "catalog" of fortifications that a local commander could pick from.

Milan's chance to shine. Good background on both the installation and the battle. Beautiful view of the entire landing zone.

Wonderful! How do I get him for my next tour?

Lunch viewing the harbor area was great. Chance to walk around helped too.

We seemed a little rushed here, but enjoyed what we saw. Maybe another 20-30 minutes would have been better.

A beautiful restoration -- got to get a feel of medieval life for the nobility.

Very good sense of humor, particularly after the "shower toilet" incident.

A quick view of a beautiful city.

Excellent but the portions were huge.... but then I eat like a bird.

Sad but a lesson to learn.

AC in Bastogne would have been good. Hotel was very nice though.

Very satisfied.

I think the focus of the tour and all of the personnel was super and tight on target. I thought I knew a lot about all of this, but certainly walked away with a lot more knowledge. It had been about a month since going on the trip and I am still excited about it!!! I heartily recommend this trip.

Would have been good if the bus had wi-fi.

Excellent, very insightful!! Really an important part of the trip.

Would not want anyone else. He was spectacular. Very kind, very studious, always thinking about the well being of the passengers. Wonderful sense of humor. Ran a tight ship! Excellent manager!

We were not sure if we were expected to tip the special guest tour guides we had in Normandy, Bastogne, and Berchtesgarden.

The Hotels were great but was challenged by the small shower door in Hotel Mercure. Also only one hotel provide wash clothes. If we had know this we would have brought our own.

This was a great tour. Learned more history about what caused the German invasion and what lead up to the war. This made the trip very successful and provided a better understanding of WWII.

Sometimes the portions we very large.

Wish the bus had the capability to charge I-Phones. The WI was great.

Would have liked a little more time here to read more of the displays.

Loved participating in the Memorial Service as an military veteran.

Robert did great. He was very attentative to our needs.

11-day Normandy to the Bulge review

Very satisfied and happy

Would have loved to have a book filled with all the pictures shown by the different guides.

Would have liked A/C.

I would recommend the tour but was hoping for more time in the museums and sites and even more sites to see.

Even though the food was great, would prefer box lunches on the bus so we could see more sites (vs. 2 hour lunches)

Although a hit with most, I took the tour to see WW2 sites.

Would rather have seen the museum as advertised, not City sights.

Milan did a great job herding the cats and staying on schedule.

They were very organized and answered all my questions promptly.

The airport pickup instructions were particularly well laid out.

Hotel wemperhardt was very nice however the only thing that could have been better was the AC could have worked better.

I highly recommend the tour to all I talk to about my trip.

Great driver. The bus was well air conditioned and clean

Too bad it rained.

I wish I had more time here. Loved it

Nicole was amazing. She gave us so much information and insight. A true treasure.

Wonderful job. Very well organized.

very satisfied. Every time I had a question and

everything promised was met. I would recommend this tour and already have

could have used the high back seats. Peter did an outstanding job of getting u s where we needd to go

this my highlight

guide was the best. However he didnt take us to the "Bunker" (idid research on my own and ventured away from the group to get that building on film) and we did not get to the place where they lined up prisoners and executed them. I understand the shooting range is outsid ethe camp, but my understandin was that they had a wall inside the camp that was used for executions also

outstanding information

all his information wa stop notch, it was a little tough to undersand him though. I really had to listen carefully. I liked his humor

wushed we coud have visited the actual beach at low tide as we did at Utah. It gives you more of a battlerfield perspective to walk the ground

did a great job with all the logistics. Hustled to get things done and I liked his manner and humor

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

The whole process with Procom went smooth. Both on the phone and by e-mail, any questions were quickly answered.

Great info on all aspects of the tour. I especially like the info provided on the history of what we were seeing and the hotels we were staying at.

No air conditioning in Bastogne was a problem; but, it was unusually hot when we went. We all liked the locations of the hotels where we had numerous choices for dining.

From start to finish, we were very satisfied with the service provided

I will definitely recommend this tour and Procom to all of my friends and family. We also are now looking at what other tours we may want to go on with Procom.

Our driver was great. The bus was comfortable and we had great viewing no mater where we sat.

Seeing the foxholes and understanding again what the soldiers had to go through was very moving. This is why we came on this tour. I had party of nine of all ages and everyone found this aspect of the tour emotional and moving. We enjoyed during the bus ride to see the Band of Brothers episode dealing with Bastogne.

Bastogne barricks was great!

We were somewhat apprehensive on what we were going to see, especially with my mix group of nine. The way things were shown and how our tour guide explained things made this memorial to the victims something we will always remember.

What a way to end our tour! Of course, great weather helped.

Robert was fantastic. Always attentive. Very pleasant personality. I have been on a number of tours. Robert was the best.

I was thinking before we went to Utah beach, why we needed another beach; however, this was very moving for all of us in going on the beach and really getting a sense of what the soldiers experienced.

Overwhelming

Fogged in

Sue did an outstanding job each and every day of our tour. Sue went out of her way to take care of the group but she also addressed individual issues like our cousins mobility problems. She did a GREAT JOB! She really made the difference between an average and a superior tour. Additionally we only heard positive comments from the other guests.

Hotels were nice. The hotel Wemperhardt was too far from the sites we were visiting and not located near enough options for dinner.

I looked the tour. The only suggestion I would make is to breakup the trip to Belgium and Munich with more site seeing. It's too long a journey. Maybe in conjunction with a lunch/restroom break?

Great driver.

Debra was very helpful and patient!

All my questions were addressed by the material we were given.

Although rushed at times, I thought the tour was wonderful. It covered exactly what we wanted to experience. It would be helpful for future guests to know what restaurants on their suggested lists only take Euros (no credit or US).

Extremely knowledgeable! I'm amazed at how he could remember all the information he shared!

I really was impressed when we went into the forest and saw the foxholes and surrounding areas. Again, our local guide was great!

The video presentations were really good and hearing the personal stories brought the war to life.

Beautiful and impressive.

This was my second trip to Dachau (I lived in Germany and had visited many years ago). I really enjoyed our local guide; he was extremely knowledgeable and mentioned specific names of prisoners which added that personal touch to the experience. I would have liked another hour here; there was so much information that we didn't get to read because our guide moved through so quickly.

Did not participate

Amazing! What a trip! I realize we had a 3 hour drive to get there and back, but would have liked another hour there.

Robert was very helpful and organized. Friendly and made everyone feel comfortable.

We were very rushed here; could have used another 30 minutes at least.

I felt we spent too much time there. We could have shaved off a bit of time to stay longer at the Beach and Cemetery.

I wish we would have had more time there. Seemed rushed.

Awesome! Our local guide was amazing! He is very knowledgeable and personable and made the experience more special.

Utah Beach was exactly what I pictured as the site of the D-Day landing. It was great to walk out as far as we did on the beach and picture what took place there.

We spent too much time there; definitely could have shaved off at least an hour there.

Very knowledgeable about the area.

Outstanding - Debra answered all my many questions promptly. Looking forward to hopefully accompanying her on a Civil War Tour.

Outstanding. Went where I wanted to go in a timely and cost effective manner.

Enjoyed watching Charlie drive. Amazing, skillful driver. I sat behind him so had first hand view.

N/A as I did not go.

I am 70 years nine months old. Most sobering day of my life.

Need bigger flag and taller pole for everyone. Need someone at front of group and behind. Lost two people unintentionally. Also need to make rest room stops. Didn't see any rest rooms on tour.

Accent was hard to follow

Finding a 'Welcome to Las Vegas' sign in a gift shop, priceless!

Second time there, just as humbling this time as the first.

Being in the bunker where they shot the scene for 'Longest Day' awesome.

Seeing the church awesome

Sat across from Barry on bus. Enjoyed riding with him.

Looked like Harrison Ford straight out of 'Raiders of the Lost Ark.'

very interesting and educational, but sad.

the driver was excellent, I couldn't believe he could make some of those turns.

not enough time here

sad - our local guide moved too fast!!

local guide was almost running, needed to slow down

we had been here before, I think the place is a big disappointment because it is nothing but a resturant now

friendly, organized, concerned about everyone, and good looking.

needed more time there

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

I would absolutely recommend this tour. There is no way we could have scheduled/seen/learned so much in such a short period of time.

Would suggest another monitor or two. We were sitting in the back on the right hand side. I basically listened to the movies but could not see the screen.

Loved the story of the 4 individuals

Fantastic site. Loved the tour by the director (Denise?)

Moving. Tour guide Eric was fanatastic

Very good. Tour guide Eric was fantastic.

Disappointing - but probably more related to the rain/clouds that prevented good views. Would suggest next time to tell passengers if the weather is not permitting good visibility NOT to schedule a bus ride back in the 2 hours prescribed.

Fantastic site. Tour guide Nicole was fantastic also.

Fantastic site.

12-day London to Normandy review

If we are talking about Robert from Budapest, he was nothing short of amazing. Although I felt I was a thorn in his side from day one. Despite a few hiccups, all of them my fault, he maintained a high level of professionalism. He was also instamental in setting up my arrangements at Normandy, so I could honor my uncle. Despite me inadvertently disappearing, because I was so engrossed with the history locations, he treated everyone with a high level of respect.

Very informative and jam packed with more information than I could absorbe. The guest tours who aided us in England, Frnace and at the RAF location were knowledgeable and professional... sometimes. One of the guides kept slamming the president of the United States. Another brought to my attention that the memorial crosses cost the American Taxpayers $2000.00 and why we needed such fancy markers. Other than that it was a quality tour. Despite the two negative events, I would still choose BBofB as my tour option.

I realized that the tour continued to Germany. I was curious if I could continue with the tour short notice. Robert informed me later that one of the individuals was not going forward with the tour and I could possibly sub in, but normally it was not possible. It would be nice to be able to continue with the tour on a last minute add in. Knowledge of possible construction. At Wembly Park hotel, when I arrived I thought it was located in a bad part of London. This was not the case, but a heads up would have been nice.

Very quick to respond to my questions, and the travel agency kicked butt on my airline tickets.

I have been recommending people to your tour group. Very well thought out tour!

I wish that while in London we ate at more British style meals. Many of the locations wee chain and the food was nothing spectacular and the service was misserable

Drivers were amazing! I saw one your bus with a stocked up bar and nibbles. That would have been real nice to have.

Thank you Robert for your time and patience with me. I know I was not the ideal tourist. I appreciate you helping me at Normandy with my uncle and helping get the Paris situation figured out. If I knew your address, you would get a Christmas present every year. If I take a tour again with you, I promise to be on time and on my best behavior. Thank you!

Who would of thought my home state of Nebraska had markers there.

Excellent, And had some truths debunked.

Did not get to tour the castle, which was a want on my list.

I could not take enough pictures of this place.

After understanding how the enigma machine worked, we were again rushed to see most of the location. Well worth the stop.

Got to enjoy some of it, but in the end I had to rush and missed a lot of the historical presentations.

Glad I got to see this house. Did not care so much about the presentor. He was bashing America and the current president. After his presentation, I felt that England really did not care for us being there and the loss of Americans was irrelevant.

Okay, but the fish and chips place with a blast. I would have preferred a trip out to the forts in the water.

I could talk postive about Robert all day long.

This was my goal for this tour. Well worth it.

Could have been shorter.

I don't cry very much, but I did this time.

Did not realize Candada was a key player. Very informative.

Amazing these have survived this long.

11-day Normandy to the Bulge review

The rep I spoke back and forth with getting things set up and when I had questions was great very helpful and understood what I was looking for

All the hotels were great. Hotel Mercury had smaller rooms but very comfortable. Loved the lounge area outside and inside. The hotel Melba was also very nice with larger rooms and the balconies were great loved the big flat bathrooms in all the hotels. And the breakfast set ups. Would stay there again.

I loved it and would do a tour through you again.

Because I think it’s a tour all would enjoy and one that kids and high school kids should take so they get a better understanding of what really went on during WWII

Meals were over the top starting with breakfast and ending with supper. Nice choices, very filling and very good.

The coach was very comfortable water was very nice to have. Peter the Driver was great very professional felt very safe while he was driving.

Great guide enjoyed listening to his telling of the different things as we went along

The guide and sites were fantastic learned a lot of new things

Was excited to see all the armament restoration and to know they run . I think the history of them should be preserved

Very knowledgeable could learn so much from him very good guide

Loved the area and the shops sites in town

Did not get to go due to injury was at Er this day

Milan was fantastic he was a great manager and guide helpful when needing money and for medical attention due to an injury. He was very personable fun during our tour love to have him again

Same as above

Both very good guides very pleasant and knew much about the area

Great tour. The whole experience was far above my expectations. I would , and have, recommended Procom for anyone interested in doing a history tour.

The meals were excellent across the board. Didn't have a single meal that was not outstanding. The only negative was the amount of food each day. Lighter meals once a day would be popular.

Local guide was a little too preachy for my taste.

Outstanding. She went above and beyond my expectations. I would definitely take another tour with her.

11-day Normandy to the Bulge review

We were assigned a room on the second floor of the Hotel Mercure and there was no elevator. I had to carry my suitcases up two flights of stairs. I told the tour manager about it and he carried the bags down when we left. Older tour participants should not have to carry bags up flights of stairs. The Hotel Melba did not have air conditioning and Bastogne had very high temperatures when we were there. For summer trips consider getting hotels with air conditioning.

Excellent. It was the best organized and conducted tour I ever went on. It exceeded my expectations.

Excellent!!! It is well worth the money and I would highly recommend it. Am considering taking the US Civil War tour in a few years.

Meals were very good. Could have had a bit more selection at some.

Peter was excellent. He was courteous and professional and a very good driver on the narrow and winding roads. The motor coach seats could have been softer.

Excellent

Again the guide was great.

Unbelievable knowledge of the battle. He was the best guide I ever encountered.

The guide was fantastic. He had a very in depth knowledge of the battle and very interesting personal stories.

Very good

11-day War in Poland review

Niki is incredible at her job and makes it so easy to get info or to provide help beyond normal situations, such as arranging extra nights in a hotel if I arrived early.

the book we received was wonderful, but it was very heavy and would have been nice to receive it in the mail, prior to the trip.

excellent tour guide, great guides with few exceptions in the local places.

dinner was served too late on many nights...we would be seated by 7:30 and not receive the meal until 8:30 or later. Most of the time the meals took too long to receive...even when we were at lunch/dinner and they already knew what we were being given. Lighter options at lunch would be nice. Breakfasts are always wonderful.

driver, bus, guide are top notch.

the sights were nice but a number of them were not necessarily WW2 (government structures or former mansions).

Anna was wonderful, knowledgeable and very professional

The male guide I had was incredible; when we got to Birkenau I was in a different group with a lady who was a poor speaker and unenergetic so I switched to the man I had at Auschwitz

the male guide was awesome...the lady was very weak/poor

Eva was FANTASTIC...a walking encyclopedia with energy and joy...loved her.

the guide at Westerplatte was quite weak; she was the same guide for the walking tour and wasn't as strong as most all of the other guides.

10 stars (I put some info on the previous pages about guides)

11-day War in Poland review

Very pleased with the selections. My top two favorite were Polonia in Warsaw & Hotel Hanza in Gdansk.

I have taken many bus tour trips & this was very enjoyable. The hotels were nice & the longer stays allowed me relax & enjoy my holiday. Having the meals taken care of made me worry less & I enjoyed having a cocktail & dessert for lunch & dinner meals. Plus the service & guides were great!

Most of the meals were excellent, especially at Hanza Hotel in Gdansk. The buffets were ok....I didn't care much for the food at St. Bruno hotel.

Janos did an AMAZING job...There was heavy construction, which delayed us, but I didn't mind. The scenery around me was most excellent & the rest stops were at clean gas stations.

She was informative though a bit monotone with explaining all the sights visited.

Excellent local guide & she did a great job of explaining every sight.

Enjoyed the museum, but even with 20 people to a group, it was too many people to move around & hear our tour guide.

Unexpected highlight!

Eva was amazing! Very friendly, informative, & went out of her way to make sure everyone was comfortable & informed.

One of the best Museums I have visited

Love her personality & upbeat attitude!

The layout was confusing.

She was my favorite. She answered questions thoroughly & pointed out information on every sight.

Very knowledgeable though just talked a little too fast before I could process information.

11-day War in Poland review

Niki is AMAZNG!

Wow! The best hotels of my three trips! Fabulous choices!

It was all I expected and so much more. I would recommend the tour to anyone interested in the larger picture of WWII, ETO, because most of the war happened in Poland! It was pretty much first and central to Hitler's horror, and where the East met West at the end. I tell people about how good Procom is, all-inclusive, centered on a subject that self-sorts people into a shared interest group, so that the participants have a common point of reference unifying them, facilitating friendships and dialog on the trip.

I haven't eaten that much in decades! But didn't gain a pound due to so much great walking! ;) And I very much appreciated having an alternative to fish everytime it was on the menu! Thank you!

Janesh (John) was amazing! What a great driver! Plus he was patient, and always had a big smile for us, and a helping hand as we exited.

It was odd and a bit disconcerting to have 5 outside tourists be added to our tour group at the tower fort.

I'm so grateful for getting to go to the actual ghetto wall piece which still stands, and to the real Mila 18. The Warsaw Ghetto is WHY I came on this particular tour. Thank you!!!

We did the same trip to the central marketplace twice, plus had a free-time session there. I would recommend a castle/armory tour instead of one of the walking tours.

Eva was fabulous, very knowledgeable, great English, and it was wonderful to have her talk from the heart about having lived under Soviet rule and then through the transition to freedom. She was personable, patient, had a ready laugh, clear directions, and was very efficient without getting grumpy!

What an amazing museum!

The fact that the first shot of WW2 and the first step to the fall of the Soviet Union's grip both happened at the shipyards was amazing, and I didn't expect much from Gdansk but was so impressed.

11-day War in Poland review

All hotels were top of the line, the only thing I'm concerned about is stepping over the bathtub to take a shower. I can do it but not sure if someone that isn't in the best shape could do that..

Great Service, everything was top notch.

Just for the overall service you provide. With this being my 5th tour I always have people asking me why. Usually my answer is the company which provides some get tours. You are always on my thoughts regarding my next vacation.

The meals were really good. Some days the food was too much. My only idea is to have a big lunch and a small dinner. Maybe just sandwiches. My mom who grew up in England told me once while we were visiting is their lunch is the main meal. Which is true by the lunches we had. While we were at the Wolfs Lair I would trade that lunch for maybe a Bratwurst and some chips on the patio.

WIFI wasn't the best but some areas of Poland is remote. I was surprised to see it work at all.

All the guides know there stuff on the subject matter.

This had to be my favorite part of the trip. Our guide was fun and very knowledgeable. She didn't disappoint.

Eva was her best making sure everyone was happy. It isn't the easiest job. Procom always hires the best people.

If I could give her more stars I would. I saw her on Ghost Hunters Intl - Wolfs Lair.. I love her

18-day London to Berchtesgaden review

Good

The map to the meeting place at Heathrow Airport was not very good. We walked in circles for awhile.

The elevator at the London was down for several days. We were on the eighth floor. They did not seem to be in any hurry to get it fixed. The Omaha Beach hotel room was tiny and the bathtub was deep and hard to get in and out of.

Yes

The food was good. The only problem was at the end of the tour two groups were combined. One night in Munich it took about 2 hours to finish dinner.

Several times when I was tried I snapped at him and he was still very nice.

I would have like to have spend an extra day there and see the postions of the 28th and 106th Divisions

11-day War in Poland review

I am always kept informed and up-to-date about deadlines, itinerary, etc.

Each hotel was beautifully situated near to the center of town and with beautiful views--Qubus, especially, was right on the bank of the Vistula. Polonia is a beautiful "old world" hotel with a contemporary feel. The St.Bruno is situated right on the canal and the grounds are very attractive. And the Hanza is a alleyway from the Motlowa and the wonderful bustle of the waterfront. Each hotel was great in its own way.

Completely professional. What could anyone possibly complain about. Everyone on the tour--all experienced travelers--seemed to agree that Procom is a great company!

The tour was everything that I expected. After all, I have previously toured with Procom. We are taken to the places we need and want to see. The tour directors and local guides are well-informed and intelligent. The hotels are great. The drivers are great--I was never concerned about safety on the road. We are greeted at the beginning of the tour when and where we are supposed to be met; we are taken to the airport at the end in plenty of time to make our flights. Even if you don't like tours--which I don't--you will love Procom!!!

Jaros was a great driver and the bus was comfortable although I would have appreciated charging ports at each seat. The ridiculous EU regulations regarding speed and driver breaks are out of your control, but they really do add time to each trip.

They were each excellent in their own way. Clearly passionate about their city and their history and Poland, they provided information and insights that enhanced my understanding of Poland in general in addition to the role of Poland in WW2.

I have been to Sachsenhausen, Buchenwald, Dachau, and Auschwitz/Birkenau, but I believe that Treblinka is the most profoundly moving of all. The absence of the physical structures and tools of murder, replaced as they are by the 17,000 markers representing the dead, speak eloquently of the horrors that occurred there. Again, our local guide, Ziggy, was available to explain and answer our questions.

Warsaw is also a lovely city and, as in other places on the tour, I felt profoundly privileged to be able to stand on the same ground as did the many martyrs and heroes of the war in Poland. Our local guide, Ziggy, was passionate and extremely knowledgeable and was a delight to be with.

Krakow was my favorite of the cities we visited. It is a beautiful city with beautiful churches, castles, parks and, of course, the site of many of the Nazi's horrible deeds. Anya, our local guide, was knowledgeable and professional and I learned a lot.

One of the iconic tourist attractions and well worth the visit. The young woman who acted as our tour guide there was also professional and knowledgeable.

Auschwitz/Birkenau, like all the camps, was solemn, grim, and chilling. The camp guide, Richard(?)was extemely knowledgeable and I am happy to see young people (as pretty much all of our guides were) to be so passionate this horrible period of European history.

A different kind of testament to the psychotic realities of the Nazis. Our guide was knowledgeable (and often quite funny, but neber inappropriately so!

A revelation! Who could have anticipated the grandeur of a salt mine. Certainly my favorite non-war, non-holocaust related venue.

Eva is wonderful! Smart, charming, funny--and extremely professional and efficient. I would take a tour with her anytime!

Another triumph for the Poles. The layout, the artifacts, the narratives informed and documented both the tragedy and the bravery of the the Poles in the War.

Gdansk was, to me, a surprisingly lovely and modern city. I suppose I kind of imagined it was going to be just a large shipyard, but it is a very lively and lovely place. By the way, being able to visit Westerplatte was also a high point for me.

This was a beautiful and fascinating memorial to an event that deserves to be much better known outside of Poland.

Many of us remember the events from 1970-1983 and how pleased I was to at last be able to set foot on hallowed ground. This museum is wonderful!

I have already recommended the tour to several of my friends I tell them that based on my experience I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in WWII history

The meals surpassed any expectation that I had truly enjoyable

The driver was better than any bus driver I have ever seen. He put that bus places I didn’t think were possible

I would’ve liked more time in the museum

18-day London to Berchtesgaden review

More info about money exchange. It was not always convenient to exchange money in Europe, especially after having crossed the channel.

Rooms and accomodations were all good.

Overall Procom provided great service throughout the tour!

I would recommend the tour to anyone because of the value you receive for the money spent. I know that Procom has an aggressive itinerary, but I think Procom should consider adding half day activities to the agenda. We went from sun up to sun down and saw everything we were told we would see. Unfortunately, we came back so late many nights that we didn't have time to really explore or shop on our own. Also, there were no areas to do laundry. For a tour lasting 18 days and with limits on luggage, an area to do laundry would have been nice. Don't get me wrong. This was a most excellent tour! Thank you.

Meals were most excellent. I also appreciate the restaurants considering my food allergies.

Drivers were all fantastic and I think all were amazed at the ability of the drivers to maneuver in such tiny spaces. They were always driving with safety in mind.

All of the guides were quite knowledgeable. Almost too much information to comprehend in such a short period of time.

Robert was excellent as tour manager. Great sense of humor, quite knowledgeable in his own right. The tour proceeded as it was scheduled.

Better understanding of what occurred after having seen Utah Beach. Guide was most knowledgeable, but the amount of information he put out was almost too much to comprehend.

They've done a very good job of preserving this iconic bridge and giving all of us a better understanding of what occurred here.

For me, it's important to actually walk and feel the places where these events took place.

Artifact collections were outstanding

Another beautiful cemetery. Takes one's breath away. Thank you all so much for allowing us to be part of the laying of the wreath ceremony. Very poignant.

Everyone has their own feelings about this site. It's horrifying on the one hand and full of history on the other hand. Our guide was terrific especially in helping us to understand the politics of the times.

Loved the historical areas we covered in Munich!

Since I was a little boy I have always wanted to see the white cliffs of Dover. I also was able to see the castle and bunkers.

They have done a wonderful job of preserving this history.

I have seen many references to Bletchley Park through books or movies. It was great to be able to actually see the grounds.

Wonderful airfield! I so enjoyed the various buildings and all they contained. Especially liked the restoration projects in the works.

The cemetery is very beautiful and humbling. What a great setting!

Amazing so much was accomplished from this underground complex.

Preservation of these displays is needed for future generations to understand the events of D-Day and forward.

Who?

Wonderful tour.

most impressive collection

I could have stayed in the cemetery for a week just walking around.

Again, having heard and read so much about it, the area was wonderful to see.

Certainly a commanding view from the cliffs. The mulberry harbors were quite interesting and we fell in love with the town.

It is nice that they are still preserved. The overlook of the ocean was stunning. A better understanding of how the guns came in to play on D-Day.

What a view!

5-day Normandy Invasion review

Very satisfied and helpful.

Great staff. Friendly and answered our questions.

The wealth of information of the area is vast. There are so many things to see and do, and a short time to do them. The tour gave a good general knowledge of the beaches and events over several weeks. Very nice accommodations, which may be hard to find for groups in this area. The accommodations were close to the sites the tour visited. The local museum in Bayeux was recommended by the tour director and tour guide. We went there after the tour, and it was a very nice museum. That gave a good timeline of the 100 days of Normandy.

Great local guide who was very knowledgeable about the area, history and battles.

The bridge, its location and the gliders gave a good perspective of the events that occurred at the bridge.

Excellent knowledge. He went and researched someone's relative and gave them the information the next day. He has talked to veterans and brought their experiences to his tour descriptions.

This area was very interesting. We went back to this area after the tour and went to the museum in ththe town square. It is hard to cover all of ththe museums and things in Normandy in the tour timeframe, but it was a great coverage of the events.

He worked to make sure everyone was taken care of during the tour. Really liked the portable microphone and earphone boxes.

Truly professional assistance throughout.

Very well done. Delivery was complete and very timely.

Well planned and organized - highly recommended for those who want a carefree tour. Well done!

Food was varied, plentiful and excellent!

Janush and Zoli were true artists behind the wheel; always felt safe in all conditions.

Guide Richard was phenomenal; best of all the local guides on the tour.

Expected to see more of the building.

Moved too fast.

Absolutely outstanding.

Fantastic! High energy, highly knowledgeable and very well organized - kept everyone on track.

The H4 Hotel in Munchen was lacking in a selection of desserts for the evening buffet meal as I cannot eat chocolate and that is mostly was they had.

Overall, we were very satisfied with your tour company.

Your staff was very professional and informative. I have already recommended to my family and friends to go with your tour company on future trips.

All the restaurants we ate at were great! The last hotel we stayed at didn't serve a variety of desserts at the buffet.

Andy our driver was amazing! His skills were unbelievable! He was always pleasant and courteous! Hope he gets paid well!

Rudy was great. A walking history book!

Thought there would be more to this tour besides see the Von Trapp mansion from across the lake. The town of Salzburg was great

Was disappointed in this tour because the castle was under construction and found out that day we could not take pictures. We were not able to walk around the castle at all.

She was very knowledgable.

Barry was great. He took very good care of us and he was very knowledgeable.

The Paris tour in the bus was a little confusing, but enjoyed the sites of the city.

11-day Central Europe Remembrance review

The Hotel Savoyen was the best of the four, far and away. Spacious with a great bathroom The Novotel Munchen was nice but the room was too small for two people. The Novotel Budapest is three stars because of the great view. Again, the room was so small for two adults plus the shower would not drain and we advised the front desk but the issue was not fixed. The Qubus Hotel was a disappointment except for the food. Our bed was very uncomfortable, the pillows were way too soft but the water pressure in the shower was probably the best of anywhere we stayed. The hotel staff, while helpful when approached, seemed to be somewhat annoyed at our being in their space - just my impression. The food in all four of the hotels was great - no complaints there at all.

Learned so much there.

A bit more free time to explore would have been good.

Fabulous lunch and what a view at the summit.

Loved Krakow - what a beautiful and interesting city

Same situation as when we toured the Hospital in the Rock. Our groups were too large and too many people were moving in too many different directions. I was disappointed in this tour.

Heartbreaking. We had a fabulous tour guide, Richard. He was so knowledgeable - what an eerie place to tour but so glad we did.

Loved Budapest.

The young woman who was our local guide was great! So passionate about educating people and making them aware.

Loved Vienna but wanted more time there - so much to see!

Such an interesting place but the tour process itself needs to be tweaked. Way too many people in each group. The groups should be no more than eight - the areas are too small to accommodate more than that. The large size of the groups moving through detracted from the experience of being there.

Great cruise but the food was not as good as the food we had been having at the hotels and restaurants.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

We had some silly questions, and they took them in stride, very professionally.

Our centrally controlled air conditioner did not work properly. They tried unsuccessfully to adjust it on Saturday and Sunday, and the technician on Monday did not fix it either. Thank goodness it wias cool weather, and we were able to open the window. The step-in tub/showers there were very high. As a nurse, I just imagined one of our older companions slipping and hurting themselves. Maybe Novotel needs to make more Handicapped accessible rooms. You have lots of "older" tour participants. Other than that, it was fine. Comfy beds, good food, nice waitstaff.

...I like to eat!.. The food was great. They were very sensitive to my husband's special needs.

I want o see Charlie back the bus into the tunnel at Eagle's Nest!

Really well done! Probably the best of the beach sites. Even the restaurant was great.

The Bridge was cool, but the think I did not know was about the Gliders! That whole thing was fascinating to me. I could have spent more time there at the exhibits and museum

The forest and foxholes! Not what I expected, so close to town, in a smallish patch of forest, so close to the edge....And I really liked the Belgian Army base displays. We again, "happened"on a visit from some British vets and to to participate in honoring them. Tear Jerker!!!

All the museums were excellent, but this one was the best. Again, not enough time!

Better than I though it would be. The laying of the wreath ceremony made it special. These little events give us the opportunity to participate, and offer our own thanks and appreciation for the sacrifices that secured the freedoms we still enjoy. Maybe we take them for granted... this trip reminded me NOT to take them for granted.

Unfathomable, really, that that much evil could be contained in one location. It is SO important what we teach our children! This must never happen again.

I was surprised how beautiful and interesting Munich is, and I did NOT know all the history that was there. The tour guide was knowledgeable, but he was our least favorite. I guess he knew his facts, but there was some kind of "attitude" that came with it that didn't sit well with us.

At first, I wasn't liking this one so much. Just on and off the bus at little monuments....But in retrospect, I'd say keep it. 1. It was a gentler pace, and we needed a bit of a rest, mentally and physically. 2. It reall did give a clear picture of the difficulty of the terrain. 3. Henri Mignon's first hand accounts were some of the best parts of the tour guide's talks. 4. We had one of our more memorable "moments" of the tour. Athe mmorial where the African Americans were executed, ther American Flag ws not flying. Our own vets and active duty military saw to it that the Stars and Stripes were Flying over that memorial!

The endless sea of crosses...the walls FULL of names of the missing....happening across a group of Veterans atthe monument, and Taps.....so moving, so incredible. To think of the courage and patriotism and sacrifice of our guys, who were not even fighting for their own homeland, but the IDEA of freedom for others. Very moving.

TRYING to imagine those young kids scaling those cliffs! Sobering!! I hope we NEVER have to do a war like that again!

Really good! The massiveness of the artificial harbour remais, the expanse of the beach, are sobering. The circular theater gave me a feeling of the confusion of what it may have been like for the soldiers. Having to look all directions at once! Very disorienting. I'm surprised any of them made it.

the size of the bomb craters definitely sets the tone for the devastation of the bombing, and the geographical challenges of the cliffs. But I wonder if we need to see Two batteries

I think we all want to invite him home for Thanksgiving! He made all of us feel like friends. He never got noticeably preturbed with us. I'm sure he must have been, a few times.

Underwhelming. I would have rather had more time at Pegasus Bridge museum. And I wonder why the French have such a small memorila for their own guys who made it back to liberate them. Maybe have one of the guides explain that to us.

BEAUTIFUL!!! Despite rain on the way there and on the way there, it was lovely and clear while there. Crazy to think taht such a beautiful location was home to the heart of evil.... Another day with "Not enough time" all of us wanted to wander the streets a bit!

Ok, and fits your theme. The short time was plenty, though.

I really liked this town, the story, the museum. I would have liked some free time to explore the town more, or to hear from a resident about how it all effected them, then and now. How they feel about it.

The simulator was very cool! The young people on our trip liked this the best. I wanted to go into the original building/store, but we couldn't until after the simulator. We were in the second group, then walked out through the museum, then there was no time....Why could we not have gone in while group one was in the simulator?

interesting, the stark differences between the cemeteries. It does make it sink in about the vastness of the lost human life, and the differences of how the countries remember their dead. I know we did not stay too long, but I wonder if you could cover some of this in videos, to allow more time at some of the other locations.

Ditto, above, but this was the "nicest" of them. I liked all the flowers and the personalized inscriptions.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers R&R review

All of them were first class

I think Procom has really tried to think of everything. They do a phenomenal job.

Absolutely-great mixture of WW 2 and non-war attractions. I took my whole family and it was the trip of a lifetime. One suggestion:In the brochure booklet describing the tour one of the reviews says "Overall a very good tour". That sort of scared me a bit-only a "very good tour". I would expect a more glowing description. Happily I can report it was "a fantastic tour". It was nice that the details were taken care of-hotels, restaurants, etc. yet we still had plenty of free time.

Meals were overall excellent. Some places we had some choices which was nice. Maybe a little too much pork.

The driver, Andy, was amazingly skilled

I had done a lot of the Paris stuff myself, but this was good because the tour guide focused on the WW 2 sites

The highlight of the trip for me

The only downside was that the guide did not know the WW 2 history of the castle

We had Thomas

The Cinema was much better than I expected it to be

He was really great. We had one tour member who complained about everything but Barry handled it well.

Tour was as advertised, although there was somewhat of a disconnect in my mind between the 101st Airborne and what was actually covered in the Normandy area. Also, Paris would have been more interesting if the R&R had been emphasized rather than WW2 sights.

With the exception of the lunch in Versailles and the arrival dinner in Munich, food was very good. In general, would have preferred some of the hotel dinners to be at local restaurants.

Excellent tour. For me-a once in a lifetime opportunity which I thought I would never be able to attend. I would certainly recommend the tour to anyone interested.

Excellent selections and well presented. Thank you.

Excellent drivers

As with Normandy - Holy Ground

Far too many tourists at the same time!

Difficult to "appreciate".

Difficult to understand

5-day Normandy Invasion review

I love the website and appreciated the notes on "few rooms left".

I would have like to know the name and bio of our local guides beforehand. You are meeting so many people-knowing ahead helps with names.

Laundry service was important to us as we were traveling for a couple of weeks. Hotel Mercurie did do laundry service, but it took some persuasion to actually get our clothes back before we left. Others in our group had similar problems.

These folks are second to none. I want to go on another tour with them!

The tour was everything we hoped and more. We would recommend the tour because you could not leave after the 5 day Normandy without being moved-without having a life changing experience. Every second was just so emotional.

Christophe was an amazing intellect and he offered so much wonderful content. However, at times I found his factual lectures too overwhelming and his pictures, although wonderful, impossible to see in such a large group. As a former teacher I found myself tuning him out when all of the content became overwhelming. I almost needed a cliff's notes version of what he was talking about. A simple paper outline of what he was going to be talking about would have been great.

There will never be anything like it. It was unbelievable. We were so moved.

I found the guide to be too factual, lacking in the human interest stories that he did later in the week start to include in his lectures.

A beautiful city!

By far my most favorite and unexpected place!!

18-day Normandy to Krakow review

The attention to detail is superb. The dedication and enthusiasm of the guides is awesome. Everything was about as perfect as it could be. THANKS

Although I understand the need to accommodate all the food “issues” of the group and to select items that are “local” and readily prepared for a group of people, I did find the food a bit bland. The lunch meals were often a bit heavy - so a lighter option such as a salad would be welcome. Overall - I have no real complaint, and seeing as how my clothes were a bit tighter when I returned home it all was good!

Best road trip ever!

Excellent - guide Jean-Luc is exceptional

Too little time in such an amazing city - but that is for another visit!

These two are real superstars!!!

If there is any way to allow a visit to the memorial museum and infinity pool that would be great. The tour is already packed with activities, so this is probably not possible. I had visited it before and found it very moving.

Outstanding tour & people!! Excellent sights and tours. Great accommodations, everything went so smoothly. The pre trip prep was awesome. I felt safe. I would have liked a couple of hours free time every few days for personal sight seeing in the towns. The trip is fast paced & tiring sometimes. Overall it was the most amazing trip!!!! I would love to travel with you again.

Drivers were outstanding!!

Wonderful!

Both Charlie & Eva were absolutely wonderful!!! Knowledgeable, friendly, so very helpful, & just great people. I would love to travel with both again on my next trip!!!

9-day American Civil War Tour - A Nation Tested review

Very thorough

all were nice & had nice workout facilities

Great as usual

Provided a great overview of the Eastern theater of the Civil War

I like that we had a couple of options for dinners! I didn't care for some of the bag lunches

Procom always has great drivers

Debra had a thorough knowledge of the Civil War! A very nice person who looked after her tour members

very nice

great guide-bad weather

Excellent guide & my favorite place

you need to incorporate a visit to 2nd Manassas battlefield

excellent guide

I imagined that there would be a couple hundred people involved not thousands!

Not much to see! the Ranger knew is stuff!-I would much rather have toured the Wilderness and Spotsylvania courthouse battlefield & more of Chancellorville (a tour of the roads Jackson took to turn the Union flank (I did this by car thirty years ago)

interesting It would have been nice to visit Hollywood Cemetery and the site of Tredegar armory.

Very nice low key place full of history-much more developed than it was on my last visit

A place every American should visit

18-day London to Berchtesgaden review

The second elevator was out at the Novotel Hotel in London for 3 days and we were on the 8th floor. The staff didn't seem to have a clue as to how long it would take to get fixed. With the large groups it was difficult to get on the elevator at the end of the day. Hotel Mercure Omaha Beach had really tiny rooms but other than that it was good.

I highly recommend taking this tour if this is your first time to make the trip. I think it would be difficult planning the itinerary by yourself. I would recommend adding a few extra days on to the beginning of the trip if you are interested in seeing the sights of London that aren't related to WWII.

The meals were wonderful. On the days that we had a sack lunch I would recommend having a selection to choose from (especially on day that it was a cucumber/cheese/tomato sandwich). But I was glad that we had a couple of days with sack lunches so that we had longer to spend on the sights.

All of the drivers were amazing handling that large bus on those narrow roads!

The local tour guides were very knowledgeable and added to the enjoyment of the tours.

He did a marvelous job keeping everyone and everything on track for the trip.

Tour guide was excellent for both Dachau and the walking tour of Munich..

This was the best tour guide of the trip

Tour guide for London was very knowledgeable.

Impressive self guided tour

Tour guide was excellent.

Tour guide for Normandy was very good.

It was very impressive to see how large the artificial harbor would have been during the war.

There wasn't as much to see there as I had thought but since most of it had been destroyed in the war, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. Scenery was beautiful.

12-day London to Normandy review

We were mostly very pleased with Procom. There was a scheduling issue that cropped up during the tour that caused us extra expense and inconvenience that I believe could have / should have been caught earlier in the process.

Both were very nice accommodations. Our breakfasts were outstanding, the rooms, though small, were clean and efficient and well maintained throughout our stays. The staff at both locations were polite, professional, personable, helpful.... very good.

Very good... even with our scheduling glitch they were very helpful.

It was an outstanding tour and filled all of our expectations. Yes, I would recommend Procom highly and will use them again.

The food was outstanding. The time it took to get orders taken and meals served was sometimes extraordinarily long.

The bus was very comfortable even on our days of longer travel. The drivers were amazing. Negotiating London in a bus with left side steering was nothing short of a miracle.

Almost all of the on site guides were outstanding with only one exception. The gentleman at the Royal Air Force Museum was not up to par with the others.

Sue was a delight.

Same great guide and great explanations and history lessons.

One of our favorites. Yet, a bit rushed.

Fascinating... and very well explained by our guide.

Great guide and mind boggling in its complexity.

Another favorite...

Humbling....

Robert did a great job. He was very organized, personable, helpful... etc. etc. etc.

My comment throughout this evaluation will be similar. I enjoyed each and every site we visited but often there wasn't enough time to adequately take in all there was to see.

Both were outstanding. Fun, engaging, interested, knowledgeable....

Humbling and emotional. Glad we were there for the lowering of the flags and taps....

Again... our guide was outstanding.

Hotel Melba, Bastogne no air conditioning. Novotel London Wembley only one functioning elevator, hotel full of Chinese

we were quite busy. If we were to have more time anywhere, it would be at the expense of additional total days. Personally, I was disappointed that we didn't see more of the terrain in Ardennes. It would have been worth another couple of days for me.

I'm past my prime, too.

outstanding!

maybe because I've been to Auschwitz

interesting MP museum -- not much about Ike & company

Robert works hard and does a good job. I would like to have more detailed information about what is going to happen when.

18-day London to Berchtesgaden review

I would have preferred to have the hotel information sooner.

The Hotel Mercure had very small rooms. There was not adequte space for balancing suitcases for easy access. There were several times when the maid did not leave enough supplies and we had to request them from the front desk. The bathtub/shower was very diffficult to get in and out of. Otherwise the hotel was in a beautiful setting and we found it to be clean.

Procom tours provide the ultimate travel experience where every detail is meticulously arranged. The historical sites visited and excellent knowledge shared by each of the individual tour guides was outstanding.

I would recommend Procom to others who have an interested in miltary history. I would like to utilize Procom for additional European travel. I would also like to see Procom offer additional tours that cover other historical subject matter.

The food was excellent and extremely plentiful.

Both drivers we had were absolutely excellent! My only complaint was the internet timed out too quickly.

Robert always went above and beyond to make sure that every detail of every aspect of the tour was perfect!

I had indicated on the "MY TRIP" portal that recognition for my great uncle whose name is on he MIA Wall would be most appreciated. Robert provided a sincere heartfelt apology regarding the fact that it was missed when one of the other tour participants brought it to his attention.

Robert was a great guide; friendly, helpful and funny.

I was very impressed with the scope of the tour and all of the arrangements. I didn't have to worry about a thing, other than hand washing clothes because there were no facilities to do laundry and it was extremely expensive to send it out.

The quality and quantity of the food was wonderful. However, there were several places where the services was very slow. It would have been nice to place orders ahead of time, especially for lunch, since we had a limited menu to choose from anyway. This would have saved time and frustration.

Also enjoyed Sue who was interning with us.

He was friendly, patient, helpful and funny.

Gave too much detailed information; it was too hard to follow it

Wish we had more time there to hike a long the trails.

18-day London to Berchtesgaden review

Robert Heindrick and the intern Sue were excellent and both represented your company tactfully and were personally very helpful-employees such as these should be promoted or at least considered for recognition

That made the anticipation of the trip so much greater

It would have been nice to have a copy of the next days or the days journeys on a big map that we could see as we entered the bus. I took a trip to the Holyland and they hung a map up front just as we were loading or unloading the bus. I appreciate that we each of us had our own maps but somethings I was too tired to read ahead for the next day or prepare for the next day

Had to get used to putting my card into the holder to start utilities and it was removed during day so A/C was shut off during day

It exceeded my every expectation and just got better and better

Absolutely-my friend who helped me find this is waiting to hear how I liked it as she said she has a certain clientele who would be interested in this type of tour. I love to travel with a purpose and the tour satiated all my demands!

Plenty and so good I liked the way they reflected the local flavour

Seats not that comfortable but the drivers were nothing less than amazing Very capable, friendly and treated us with dignity which can't be easy as they meet all times

Very clever to use local guides who seemed to have a real passion to teach

Sue-has a way of dealing with people in a warm and dignified way. She a gem and don't let her go

All beaches were great to understand the different challenges

Loved the local guide and to actually see where Hitler started his movement-I had read all that but to actually see where he was first rejected and then grew in power and prestige

Not so much my interest and was quite overwhelming

Need more time

This young man is capable far beyond his role just now Please see him through bigger eyes-example as a planner of other tours because he seems to understand human nature and also was flexible enough with us to give us needed free time when he felt we were wearing out

Incredible

The best

All Bastogne guides and experiences were fantastic

Loved it

Can't remember

Highlight of the trip The views were unbelievable and we really were amongst the clouds and again something I had seen pics of but you really must see to believe!

Good, pertinent information given

All provided very good accommodations, service, and food!

I believe that I was exposed to sites during the tour that someone not being guided would not have seen. Although the tour was "tiring," I definitely would recommend your tour for someone interested in the Allied invasion, especially for those who had an understanding, no matter how slight, of what took place in 1944 and 45.

All Good! Novotel's buffet was especially good!

Mr.D deserves credit for his manipulations of the bus throughout the tour, especially in and through narrow allies and streets!

History supplied at other sites complimented what little I was aware of. Eagles Nest, aside of history, was a stunning ending to the tour! This Sh All sites complimented what I had read about or viewed. Eagles Nest was without a doubt,a stunning end to the tour! Breath taking!

Hotel Wemperhardt was particularly noteworthy. All were great.

Well thought out and organized. It encompassed a broad stroke and tied it all together intelligently.

Great God. If you were hungry on this trip it was your own fault! Very good!!

Charlie did a magnificent job of getting around traffic backups and to our destinations in a timely manner. Kudos!

The background and eyewitness perspective was amazing.

This was a pleasant surprise and could have spent more time here.

Bruno was a great guide.

Didn't expect this to be so good. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Very careing and competent

Have already been talking to friends and recommending participation.

More than enough food, sometime way too much but enjoyable and tastey.

Extremely capable,experienced, and personable.

His survival and living through the battle of the Bulge added richness to the information.

Should go to Pegasus bridge before Sword beach, and just drive by. Lost valualbe time to afford at Pesasus for an uninspiring stop at Sword Beach. Did not have suffesient time to absorb all available at Pegasus.

High light of tour.

Icing on the cake. Very informative.

Honor to show respect for those who served, added touch to see Gen. Patten' grave.

Eye opener, and conferms all my previous suspesions. Must be top priority for ALL FUTURE TOURS!!!!!

Extremely informative and show where all this evil originated.

Keith is somewhat opinionated, was a bit of a distraction to his presentation. Steve on the other hand, was well informed and interesting to listen to.

Great to have an active duty service member passing on historical info.

Highly educational and well presented by survivor.

Been there three times including this trip, moving each time.

Can we have Milan on all our tours we attend in future???

The French need to up their game at Sword Beach if future stops are considered. A wast of time for the fact that this is where the French reentered their country. Least interesting stop of the entire 11 days!!!

Fitting end to the whole historical event. Start of and finish.

The ability to "fly" in the simulator is a terrific touch.

Could have done without it. They (Germans) were the problem, hard to have sympathy for their lose.

Very worth while.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

The ladies on the phone were very helpful and professional!!

I felt completely prepared prior to the trip.

I had high expectations for this trip but Milan and your company exceeded them. Everything was as advertised and I saw all the points of interest that I wanted to see! I would definitely recommend your company and in fact have done so already.

Most meals were delicious and certainly generous portions. I appreciated having more than one choice for all meals. Most meals were a little late in the evening but I would not give up seeing points of interest for earlier rbrning meals so this was a good trade off for me!

I would have appreciated plugins on the bus to charge cell phones but that is probably being to picky.

This was a highlight for me. I would have liked to have seen the area where the first three gliders landed.

I could have used a little more time.

I had a little trouble understanding him! I enjoyed his personality and he was very knowledgeable.

I would have liked to have gotten more detail about the construction and use of the Mulberry harbors.

Milan kept everything running smoothly. He kept us on time and most importantly he was a pleasure to spend 11 days with. If I ever do another Band of Brothers tour I would request Milan!

Good location. Good food. Comfortable rooms. They had elevator issues while we were there.

Responsive to questions.

Well organized, informational, and fun trip. Procom delivered as promised and met our expectations. We plan to take more tours in the future.

The food was good. There were a few issues with people getting served timely. We appreciated that special diet needs were considered and accommodated.

Very comfortable. Glad to have someone else drive on those narrow, traffic jammed roads.

Ruth was excellent. We loved listening to her.

Robert did a good job guiding us through the tour.

Except for the WWI exhibits, the other displays were limited and less organized. We were somewhat disappointed in this site and could have spent less time there. However, we thought Ruth was great!

Been there before (30 years ago). Many more people now which takes away from the overall experience (it was very moving the first time I went)

A little too much political commentary about the current US President. Great at Dachau

Hard to follow the points she was showing from my sitting position on the bus

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers R&R review

Completely satisfied. All my questions were answered in a timely, professional manner.

Fully satisfied.

The H4 staff went out of their way to find my grandson's missing shirts from the laundry.

Best overall service that I have ever experienced!

Extremely pleased with all aspects of the tour from pre-departure information to on-board bus information and videos. I believe we got excellent value for our money.

Great except for the Oso Bucco lunch in Versailles!

The bus was always clean and well stocked with water. Andy is an excellent, safe driver. I hope all my future drivers are as professional as Andy.

Truly excellent

Not sure who this was.

Completely! He did a truly superb job. I would gladly travel with him again!

He struggled at times to integrate WW II information with normal Paris sights.

Especially informative on Sound of Music sights and details.

All of the accommodations were much better than I expected. First class!

The tour was great. Our tour guide (Barry) was excellent. I would've liked to have had a heads up and a little more guidance on tipping of the local guides but they were all excellent both in their knowledge and delivery of information. I'm looking forward to another Procom tour.

A very well organized event. Great stops, passionate and knowledgeable guide. VG hotel.

Edible enough but nothing to brag about

More people on bus than we expected so it was full. But still very comfortable

Museum was mediocre. Hot and crowded.

Robert did an excellent job.

Christophe was the highlight of the tour for us. Knowledgeable and passionate

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

The folks in Kentucky have been very good throughout the process.

Flawless except for the switches with the hotels. The staff in Kentucky was very helpful on the several occasions I contacted them.

I would recommend it and would go on another Procom tour.

I think the meals were all very good throughout the tour and some were excellent.

Bus was comfortable and was pleased the a c worked. WiFi was subpar. Spend what it takes to upgrade it. Charging outlets at the seats would be a big improvement.. our driver was always on time, always helpful, made sure the bus was secure at all stops and was very pleasant throughout the tour.

Another star!

All great. We saw a lot of great areas, the guides were very good and the museums and other attractions were excellent. I was disappointed that we did not visit the Airborne Museum in St. Mere Eglise as I had visited it 20 years and noticed that it has been substantially expanded. Of course, there is too much to see in Normandy in three days. The new (I think it’s new) Utah Beach Museum was very good. Utah normally gets less play than Omaha in the accounts about the American D Day effort, so the ability to have this museum focus on the Utah events was great.

Museum was great, including the glider and it was cool to walk on the original bridge.

Bastogne was great as well. Glad to see the emphasis on American war efforts there. Standing in the Easy Company foxholes and seeing the Dragon’s Teeth were two very significant things for me. Seeing the actual forest really showed what a tough place it was to defend, especially against tanks. I was especially pleased at the treatment afforded our WW 2 veteran during the tour generally and especially in Bastogne. The Belgian Army personnel treated him like the hero he is and we all appreciated it. The Bastogne Barracks and their Exhibit Hall filled with WW 2 vehicles were highlights. Also, heading into a village and seeing a refurbished King Tiger tank was terrific. I want to single out Bruno, our guide in the town of Bastogne. He was humorous, extremely knowledgeable and brought the events to life. He is a keeper.

This was an excellent museum. Well worth the time to visit. The personalization of it with the four people made it more lifelike and dramatic, especially the simulation

One of the most emotional parts of the entire tour. Again, our WW 2 veteran was afforded the privilege of laying a wreath and three other U S military veterans (including myself) had the opportunity to join him for Taps and the National Anthem. All of us had a very emotional response to that honor. I am very grateful for that.

Very sobering and well managed. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us great insights into this horrible place.

Second visit to Munich. A great city. The structure of the tour was very good. The guide was relatively knowledgeable but his political statements were not only inaccurate, but unwelcome.

Most interesting. Have seen so many films about this place, it was interesting to see that it was as small as it was and the fact that Hitler didn’t really like the place. The amount of money the party spent on this could have been used for a lot of tanks and planes, so that was something I found to be fortunate for the allies.

I have referred to him as well. Knowledgeable but didn’t like his injection of his inaccurate political observations into the tour.

Have referenced him elsewhere, but to re-emphasize, he was terrific!

The entire Ardennes segment of the tour was outstanding. Seeing where the massacres happened was sobering but I am glad it was included.

We did not visit the Bayeux Tapestry but that was not on the itinerary, so that was expected.

Learned a lot about Omaha that I did not know. Seeing the concrete barriers on the beach, which I did not see on my previous visit and the first breakthrough area on the beach just brought home how incredibly difficult this landing was.

Really enjoyed here. Would have been nice to visit the Grand Bunker but again, you can’t see everything. I thought it was interesting to have lunch in the same restaurant I visited 20 years ago. Had seen the Cinema Circulaire 20 years ago as well and it was probably even better than last time.

Candidly, I don’t remember too much about that part but I recall that it was a good part of the tour.

Very interesting. Learned a lot, including the fact that most of the guns were WW 1 French guns.

Very knowledgeable and her personal accounts really made the tour special.

Learned a whole lot from him as well. For a rookie (his first tour) he gave us a very good tour.

12-day London to Normandy review

Ms. Watkins was a dream to work with!

You really seem to have covered everything in your brochure and what I 'overlooked' was fully explained by Ms. Watkins!

Wembley - didn't like the fact that they kept removing the room key which shut off the air conditioning - after touring I would have liked to come back to a cool room. Mercure - small room and it was hard to get into/out of the shower. Both facilities were clean and I felt safe at both.

It is a FIRST CLASS operation from start to finish!

I would recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest in history, specially WW II and the D-Day invasion because I was truly able to get a feel for how difficult it was for them to get ashore at Omaha, Point Du Hoc - the beach at Omaha is much larger than I thought it was (we were there at low tide!) and at the Pointe - it's one thing to read how tall it is but another to actually see what they had to scale! I always aid I'd like to go to England, visit the War rooms, SHAEF HQ then ferry to the beaches and you had it all wrapped up in one tour.

I truly was amazed at the quality and the quantity of the meals! I actually skipped dinner one evening because I was still stuffed from lunch! The restaurants in the London area were a bit slow but when a large group comes in that could happen anywhere. The 'box' lunches - one sandwich would have been plenty with the fruit, juice, energy bar and muffin - very few were able to eat the second sandwich! I like a salad with some meals and it was being offered, mentioned it to Robert and here comes a salad! Really outstanding restaurants and the food was great!

The bus was ALWAYS clean, the drivers were ALWAYS courteous and friendly. I couldn't believe how they were able to navigate the narrow, crowded streets in both countries!

Robert - he has a lot of responsibility for someone so young but he handled everything just fine. I know of many request that he personally handled for various tour members including myself. Sue - was her first outing (as I understand it) in the London area and she did great, interacting with the group and answering questions etc.

Amazed they kept the original bridge when they replaced it with the newer one! It would have been scraped here in the states!

Private explanation to our group of the Engima machine - outstanding!

Had never heard about the tapestry!

He did an OUTSTANDING job of keeping us on track and getting us into and out of places, clearing customs etc. OUTSTANDING!

Can't say a single negative about Ruth, EXCELLENT and very easy to understand. Christophe - at times he drone on too long about a specific subject - I truly believe he has so very much knowledge about the area and the war and he wants to give us as much as he can! He was excellent otherwise!

SOBERING!

Wasn't crazy about the cinema but the harbor and town were EXCELLENT! I had no idea that so much remained of the Mulberry's!

8-day Battle of Britain review

Approximate amount of travel time on the tour bus.

The staff were friendly and tried hard. Location was too far from tour sites.

Very good experience!

Overall excellent, but too much bus time. Excellent and caring tour guides/staff very much appreciated, made a big impact on the quality of the tour. More private tours at sites would be better, and more time with Ruth if at all possible! A music option on bus would have been a good feature.

Need fast efficient lunches...no fault of Robert, the restaurants just not able to handle large tour groups.

Super driver! But too much time in London traffic, maybe 2 different hotels would be better?

Ruth was AWESOME!!!! Absolutely the best.

Sue was excellent and caring! They were a great team!

Needed more time there!!!

Nice, but not worth the travel time.

Excellent, attentive, and dedicated!

Great help throughout the process

This was my first group tour and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience. Have already talked to someone who is interested in this tour in the future. Will definitely recommend and look forward to taking more tours in the future. Great job.

Robert was great driver, his local knowledge of area provided some unique perspectives.

Great job planning the tour and leading the group.

Had to rush through so missed some things

Very informative tour guide

Guide was excellent. did research and provided materials on the unit that my ancestors were in and personalized it for me.

Put locations in perspective

One of better re-enactments I have seen

Wreath laying ceremony at Tomb of Unknown Soldier was awesome. Disappointed that Arlington House wasn't open.

Best of tour. Did research and provided info on the unit my ancestors were in and pointed out where they were during the battle.

Excellent local knowledge

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers R&R review

Excellent presentation. Good information. Kept us moving to see the sights. Would have liked to spend a bit more time in Bastogne, Saltzburg, and the town with the Mulberrys. A bit rushed in those communities.

Very representative of the countries that we visited. However, most of the meals had potatoes as a side dish in one form or another. I got a bit overspudded after a while. The mystery green soup at Mont St Michel had no flavor at all. I ate it, but had no idea what it was. Other than that, a good overall representation. My wife and I are not big fish eaters and she doesn't eat a lot of pork. But neither of us starved to death. It was nice to see the different types of food presentations.

Great job navigating in difficult and varied driving conditions.

Viva la Barry!

All the information was very thorough

The hotels got better as the trip progressed. In hindsight I would have liked the Paris hotel to be closer to the sights, but I do understand that the bus size had something to do with it

A top flight organization and I hope to go on another tour

I would recommend the tour. However, I would spend an additional day in Paris and reduce time in Bayeau and Caen.

Mont St Michel lunch was bad. French meals were average. They were better on my previous trip. Bastogne lunch was outstanding and Luxembourg and Germany were excellent

Peter was outstanding! The coach was comfortable

The guide was excellent but the logistics of the day were off a bit. It was too much to fit into one day. I would have liked a day of general travel and another day for the bus to drop us off and pick us up at specific sites.

The outside was beautiful, but the tour and inside the monastery was only average

A great place

I would have liked more time there

I would have liked more time in Obersalzburg

I loved Camille! She was knowledgeable, personable, organized and thoughtful. I would love to go on another trip with her!

A great day all the way around

A nice visit, but the tour guide took too long

The highlight of the trip

The most beautiful sight of the trip

12-day London to Normandy review

Would have preferred London hotel closer to central part of the city but understand limitations of large tour group

I enjoyed the tour immensely. It was well run and the food/accommodations were excellent. I would recommend the tour.

Food was overall excellent. My only concern was the wait time in London was so long that it cut into sightseeing/museum time. The French restaurants with their fixed menus were efficient.

USB ports at sears are nice to recharge phones between sites. A minor issue

Both were excellent.

Very helpful in accommodating my specific side trips and food restrictions.
